Donner Lake Guided Fishing Trips

Some of the biggest Mackinaw Trout in the Lake Tahoe area come out of Donner Lake.

Here we fish with downriggers on the bottom, trolling with plugs that imitate Kokanee Salmon and Rainbow Trout to catch these trophy sized fish. In the Spring and Fall, the big Mackinaws come up to the top to feed. This is the time of the year that you have a chance to hook a big one on light tackle in shallow water.

Donner Lake is also great fishing for Kokanee Salmon. These fish are the best tasting Kokanee around.

Note: We like to let the big Macks go.
